In my opinion you are being dramatic. Things aren’t great, but anxiety never helped anyone. Solution is in establishing a constructive and smart approach to the problem.

Banning a reasonable source of energy is not smart. Also, your points reg. nuclear issues are more opinions than facts.

Faster doesn’t always mean better.

True. It’s just for me as a scientist the global development of the civilization is something what gives significant purpose to life. Existing and enjoying life is cool and all, but I don’t feel good if I am not contributing to progress.

Basically, renewables is a way to stand still, freeze development, and slowly perish. Nuclear is a tool to advance as species and civilization. In my opinion that is.

Well, the dictatorships are not there forever. Toxic waste storage is being solved (and we don’t even focus enough scientific creativity on that, while still having a good progress)

And nuclear is very effective. And we need effective to make a technological jump.

Well, many things need a lot of resources. Also, I’m not sure every person wants a car. I think what we really need is a stricter control over aggressive consumerism marketing. Also, we should regulate car manufacturing — less new models, more reliable ones. And spare parts business over new cars.

Are you sure about that? I mean all of the urban improvement points are great, and I stand by them - nice ideas. But at the same time, I think that personal cars can be fine. Even several per family. Especially, if we focus on modernization of energy sources - more solar, wind, and nuclear plants.
