Seattle. Lover of animals, music, cooking, arts & culture, and statistics & economics. Trying to see as much of the world as possible while I'm still here.
As a #KEXP Amplifier - I can attest that the rewards are amazing! Not only do I get to support a station where the music truly matters, but I also get to see some great private shows.

Also, I'm not a big TV watcher, but last night I was bored, so I watched 5 Tiny Desk concerts in a row :-)

Glad you were here :)

RE: tech - not all are in that space, but regardless, there are wonderfully creative, brilliant & silly people in Seattle... To generalize - we like to solve problems & fix things - part of why I love it so much 💚

I personally hope you spend more time here!

Give a talk??

Hopefully you have good wine, scotch, and snacks so you won't have to leave the island 😉

For years, I've wanted to spend a week in Tofino during winter weather. We don't have storms that dramatic here, but you must have a pretty cool view during good rain events. I hope you enjoy & post pictures! ⛈️

Yay! ⚽️ That's pretty close to what I was hoping for :)

Thanks for writing about this on Wonkette this morning.

Due to reading your article, I now have a ticket to a screening of "The Librarians" this Thursday, December 11th @ the Seattle Public Library 🙂

Love this!

Walked through there at 9:30 PM two Thursdays ago on my way to meet friends and was thrilled to see how many people were sitting out there enjoying the evening.

Actually, I've had a bunch of events at night in downtown/Occidental lately; it's been wonderful seeing it so alive again!

I actually think MoPop is my least favorite of his buildings, and the Guggenheim Bilbao, and the Disney Concert Hall are my favorites.

But the fact I even have an opinion on his buildings shows how much I appreciated his work!

Thanks for sharing the clip! 🙂

So did I!

I thought of you when I was reading this thread - I'm glad you saw it 🙂

Whistlestop is fantastic!

I live in Seattle & my prior boyfriend & I spent many weekends in both the Cascades & Olympics & while the drives weren't horribly long, we really appreciated listening to good stories.

I believe we listened to ~ 90 (ish) episodes of this pod & loved every second 🙂

Love this and grateful to be able to watch it!

We're in a La Nina year, so I am praying to Bast for a snowy winter! We rarely get any snow in Seattle, but it's fantastic when we do... ❄️

I thought the same thing! My logic: Peter lives in CHI which means he has his heat on from Oct. to May - why in the world is his wine rack in front of the heater?

I personally rarely drink that much anymore, so my wine rack is 80%n/a & 20% fully loaded, but all wines are treated well temp-wise :)

Well, wasn't that a wonderful video! And to the lovely person who put together the treat meal - you did a fantastic job; thank you ❤️🐼

So happy for you! That must be one of your greatest feelings of your life 🏠💚

There was hail around 5pm in Fremont last night! It wasn't accumulating, as it was melting fair quickly after hitting the ground, but it was cool. 🌧

Would love it if you shared it! 💚🎶🎵

(Although, if you aren't comfortable doing that - totally get it...)

I LOVE all four & have a soft spot that each of them fill 🙂

But red pandas just elicit something to the next level. During my 20's, I lived 2 blocks from the National Zoo in DC.

On snowy weekend mornings I would take my bagel & coffee & watch the red pandas.

I was young, broke, & that was joy ❤️🐼

I am now terrified of where else you might point that cam...

I would give *anything* for a snowy winter this year!

I love snow, and there have been a couple of rough patches the last two years - but a good, snowy winter would make up for a lot! 🙂

I'm happy to light black candles at midnight for the next month if it would help 🙃❄️
