Mom absolutely said exactly that to our aunt whose kid actually DID die at 15.
There are reasons I’m not grieving too much.

Also, take a look at the total numbers for the postal service. 9 billion is literally about a week’s operating expenses.

That one led to some questions from their pre school teacher. (He had a photo enlarger and an old X-ray film. I may have updated this stunt with “an X-ray app on my phone” to calm dramatic children having meltdowns over obviously minor bumps.)

I will note that it was never -intentional-, a cracked rib wrestling, a manhole cover dropped on a finger, and then there was the time that I accidentally shoved them off the top of a park slide (they were not even actually hurt by that one, but my father had to fake a leg X-ray in the basement.)

When their son was born with a heart condition and needed surgery, I spent every night in the ICU staying up watching their baby myself because it was the only way they could close their eyes. We’re 49 and 52 now, and just finished dividing up our parents’ estate without acrimony. It does get better

That’s the age split between my sibling and I.
I literally sent them to the emergency room with injuries a few times when we were little.
By the time we were in high school, I, more than once, slept on the floor in their room because their asthma was bad and I wanted to be close by.

I could totally use whistles for the “safe date” harm reduction kits that we make and distro …

That’s a pretty common design for scrubs.

Thank you for the “just in time for my birthday” reminder of the the existence of a precious tub of 15 year old Champagne Snow Showers Jelly in the back of my freezer.

Starlight really wants to sit in Rich’s cubby on the ofrenda, and I’m like “my dude do you know how much MONEY I just spent so as to not put you on that altar?!??”

Something random.

I just found a copy of that article when I was clearing out my mom’s house.

I mean, right, -and- I don’t care about that, at all. I care that he’s fucking evil.

Okay, I feel hella bad about making jokes about his incontinence because that’s in absolutely in no way the problem with this evil selfish malevolent man.
But I literally laughed out loud at this one.

I personally feel like we should give that peace of mind to EVERYONE taking a long term medication. There’s probably a couple that it would be a bad idea for, but I have nightmares about David running out of his rocalcitrol.

Blueberry jam is so subtle, it doesn’t hold up to even competing with peanut butter.

Oh my lord. This could have been explicitly designed to separate my newly employed youngest child from his paychecks.

Letter carriers in the US absolutely keep an eye on the neighborhood and their customers.
September 26, 2025 at 10:57 PM
I mean, keeping an eye on elderly customers is something that city carriers absolutely do in the US as well. If you live on a route with a regular carrier, your carrier knows a LOT about you and your habits and routines and will call for a welfare check if they see something amiss.

“But he’s a terrible person and I won’t pull my punches”
Seriously, I do not understand the disconnect that these people have.

Also two things are true:

It is deeply unfair that so many people who aren't white men lost their jobs and aren't getting them back and that is shameful for the country and us.

And also: they just got humiliated and it is okay to be glad because next time more people will believe we can best them.
