I wonder how much the tourism industry in America will dissipate, now that our government is paying other countries to illegally detain people. I’m a musician. I’ve already seen a handful of bands from Canada cancel their US tours. Most likely because their band was critical of the US and Israel.

Since Trump won his second term, and since the Luigi Mangione slaying 🤘, I’ve come to the realization that we won’t progress as a society without violent revolution. I’m not going to do it, because I’m old. I’m not as agile as I once was, and I have no experience with weapons at all.

While visiting a friend recently, I was asked if I ever heard this song. My friend told me “this song is perfect for you! It’s a song about a cat begging its owner to get his shit together”. They told me they cried the first time they heard it. Sure enough, I cried the first time I heard it too.

My car was towed and impounded a week ago, after I parked about 6 inches in the red on Guerrero street in SF. Lucky for me, it was my first time being towed in SF, and I only had to pay $700 instead of $800… Plus, a $110 parking ticket. Having second thoughts about moving here…

Perhaps instead of looking to Bluesky to qualm whatever negative relationship we have with social media (which is proving to sway heavily right wing) - maybe we should just do the work of spending less time on it. (1/2)
