I definitely agree about Republicans. They are showing their colors now.

I also don't think the DNC are fascists. I do think they are corporate shills, though.

As for the DNC, Wikler removed their greatest asset for bringing young blood into the party when he relieved David Hogg of his vice-chair role. I still contribute to Hogg but not to the DNC.

I and other supporters have been deeply disappointed to outright enraged by her voting record. It's easy to yell "Primary!" when you do not know a district or its history. Personally, I am torn. 2/2

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is my Rep. I knocked doors for her in 2017 so she could flip this seat from 13-year R to D. This is not a strong Dem district. It is purple. If she is primaried, it would likely go back to R. 1/2

@6deep, Ranked choice voting would change that. Everybody votes in the primary, regardless of party affiliation or lack of it. This also happens in the so-called "jungle primary," already used in many states. All candidates run in one primary, and the top 2 go to the final, or general, election.

Too many have not seen any accounting for their corruption in office. No one will get away this time. 4/4

The next President would wield those powers, as the Felon has done, to immediately restructure the Cabinets and agencies. Their new heads will gather evidence of corruption as quickly as possible to turn over to the next AG for cases against all wrongdoers in the current Cabinets and agencies. 3/4
December 10, 2025 at 7:04 PM
I want the next Dem candidate for President to run on the idea of a new government that removes corporate control and returns governing to people. But I also want that President to be bold enough to use the powers that the Felon has legalized both by precedent and thru the SC he owns. 2/4

I would like major Democrats and Independents, as well as retired judges and justices, regardless of their political aspirations, to be convening regularly to discuss ideas like these and formulate plans for a new Constitution. I agree that patchwork amendments may not be enough. 1/4

Yes, that's another necessity: removing politics from the selection of justices.

"These people" = anyone who didn't vote for him. 😡

Triple the number of House members, and make gerrymandering obsolete. Make ranked choice voting the norm.
December 10, 2025 at 6:03 PM
I like this. Our current situation makes clear that a major revision of the SC is a necessary first step to the necessary major revisions to our government itself. Cases coming before the SC must not be able to tailor arguments toward the tastes of the justices as they do now.

I am not sure how far I trust the ability of this Congress to be bipartisan and function for the good of the country. They really need to clean up first.
December 8, 2025 at 11:54 PM
YES. Triple (!) the seats in the House, and gerrymandering will be obsolete.

21 justices, with banks of 5 working on separate cases simultaneously. I don't have all the answers, but candidates for justice should be chosen by a panel of former judges and justices, not by a biased political group funded by those who will benefit from future decisions.

No! Hell no!

One of my favorite movies ever. I saw it 5 times in theater the week it came out. I kept dragging friends along!

100% true.
