Als iemand de Studio Skoop probeert te veranderen in een O'Tacos, dan Verander Ik In De Joker.
De reden voor de moeizame generatiewissels bij zowel Sphinx als Studio Skoop komen er niet door te weinig winst of bezoekers. Sphinx trekt 120.000 bezoekers per jaar en is meer dan rendabel. Ook Studio Skoop maakt winst, vooral dankzij een goeddraaiend café. Het probleem zit vooral bij de vastgoedwaarde van de panden en de kosten voor noodzakelijke verbouwingen. Sphinx bevindt zich op de Korenmarkt, om de hoek van de Veldstraat, de drukke Gentse winkelstraat. Studio Skoop zit in een statig herenhuis met bijbouw op het Sint-Annaplein. Beide panden zouden veel meer kunnen opbrengen met een andere invulling, bijvoorbeeld als fastfoodrestaurant of voor luxeappartementen. Beide cinema’s kunnen alleen rendabel werken doordat ze weinig of geen huur betalen – bij Studio Skoop is de exploitant ook eigenaar van het afbetaalde gebouw.
