What I’m saying was that because the high speed train wasn’t even begun to be built, that I don’t really feel that that amount of money lost was worth bowing to some idiot for scraps. The story was so that you could realize that this rail track is a crappy pawn, so I’m not upset over it.

However, if it was just hanging over our heads casually, not being used as a cudgel constantly, then it would be fine. Eventually There'll be a circus in this second scenario. We were in the second scenario until Trump decided to turn it into the first.

Think about it in a different way. the council of elders set aside some money to supposedly invite a circus to town. It would be cruel to constantly say to the people to follow the council’s orders or there won’t be a circus. They never will invite the circus, as it’s being used for abuse.
