I'm pretty sure that American soldiers would not hesitate to fire on American citizens if ordered to. They're conditioned to obey orders, not disobey them.

Excellent. I'm sure that Americans, and particularly Trump supporters, will be delighted to pay the extra taxes. What better use is there of their money? And Europe will increase trade with China and other countries.

A few things are certain. If Trump attacks Greenland, the military will be obeying illegal orders to attack an ally. Europe will respond by closing every military base in Europe. Then they will cash in all American bonds and kick out all American corporations. Trump can't possibly win this.

John F. Kennedy once said that when peaceful protest becomes impossible, violent revolution becomes inevitable. Republicans might want to take note of that.
