Californians uniting against Big Oil to hold them accountable and make polluters pay.
This holiday season, we’re grateful for everyone fighting to protect our communities—from first responders and clean-energy workers to the advocates and community leaders pushing for healthier air, safer water, and a climate-resilient future. Wishing you warmth, rest, and a season filled with hope.

At COP30, California stepped up—but not nearly as much as Big Oil. With absent U.S. leadership and more fossil fuel lobbyists than ever before, it’s no surprise that action from these summits can get delayed.

Oakland became the 18th local government to support making polluters pay. Our movement continues to gain momentum all over California, including all four of the largest cities.

This “Thankstaking,” we remember: The land we live on was never given — it was taken.
True gratitude means honoring Indigenous sovereignty and fighting for climate justice. Give thanks by giving back to the land & supporting the people who have cared for it since the beginning.

Californians know it better than most: Wildfire smoke is a toxic threat. Tens of thousands of lives are on the line. We need to protect frontline communities and make Big Oil pay for the immense cost of these fossil-fueled disasters.

Many veterans have found a place in clean energy. As we transition to solar & wind power, we need to invest in programs that give veterans opportunities. Those who served our country are the perfect candidates to help build prosperous, cheap energy infrastructure for our nation.

Unless we act now, our kids will face skyrocketing costs. It shouldn’t fall on them—this is Big Oil’s bill to pay.

Together, we passed Prop 50 and sent a strong message: California refuses to be silenced by those who are putting politics over the health, safety, and well-being of millions. We protected fair elections and community power—essential components of the fight to protect our planet.

All kids should be free to safely trick-or-treat on Halloween. But in some California neighborhoods, going outside and breathing the air is enough to risk life-altering disease.

Big Oil’s toxic pollution is endangering our kids—and we won’t be scared away from protecting them.

SB 237, California’s new pro-oil law, means dirtier air and water.

It will rubberstamp up to 20,000 new wells without environmental review. That means more asthma, cancer, and reproductive harm to the communities that have already been hit hardest.
October 27, 2025 at 7:18 PM
SB 237, CA’s new pro-oil law, will fuel the disasters ravaging our state. More drilling means more climate pollution—which intensifies heatwaves, wildfires and floods. Californians will be paying the price for this back-room deal as insurance rates rise & property gets destroyed.

Today, young people across California are walking out of school with a simple demand: Make Polluters Pay! 🔥💰

Big Oil caused the climate crisis. They profited. Now young people pay the price.

We reject this injustice and won’t rest until our young people can breathe freely.

SB 237, CA’s new pro-oil law, won’t lower gas prices.

Gas prices are set by the global market—not how many oil wells are operating in CA.

Unfortunately, this law will still hit consumers in their pocketbooks by raising healthcare costs from the worsening air pollution.
