The city is losing its identity. Just becoming like any other big city. All steel and glass. No character.

I'm talking about shin protection in football, or soccer. Players are wearing ridiculously small pads that do very little and it can make an enormous difference to whether you get seriously hurt or not. The only reason they're doing it is to have their socks low and look cool.

In the hockey environment in particular, the difference between wearing or not wearing a neck guard can be life and death. I know what I'd choose.
