Not going to lie, I've had a rough few days. Today I decided to skip news and clean my house. I went out to get beans, rice, etc. for the Blessing Box in my neighborhood. All things I can control. I just realized my shirt was inside-out so, yeah, I looked homeless while shopping. *Sigh*

I showed the film Harriet to celebrate Black History tonight. Students filled up the game room at the student center! It was a huge success. They even stayed for the question and answer afterward!

I finally took a good picture of Moose, my latest foster. He's a super smart boy who learned to navigate the dog door after only 2 hours! #fromtexaswithlove is the rescue I work with.

Most of my students are first-generation college students and dependent on Pell Grants. How will this freeze on federal aid affect them? This is a gut punch for those trying to better themselves.
