This is Harry, I loved him so much. Still do. I lost him on 15 November 2010, can’t believe it will be 15 years without him on Saturday.

They are, these are the swift bricks we’re putting in on our new extension/renovation project. Cost £260 to have them made with our existing bricks which is a drop in the ocean compared to what we’re spending.
5 double width swift bricks, metal boxes faced with two side by side brick fronts. Each box/brick combo has a hole in it just large enough for a swift to fly in and make a nest inside

I’m in the UK, he visited in 2018 and that was where the Baby Trump first made an appearance, I contributed to the fundraiser and they sent me a pack of the balloons and I handed out quite a few on the day of the protest.
A baby trump mini balloon, inflated and held for a pic in my kitchen. The balloon is white with an orange baby trump in a white nappy in it, he has tiny hands and an open mouth probably spouting nonsense. The giant baby trump inflatable floats above the start of the protest, I think it was in Parliament Square, on a lovely sunny London day in July 2018. I’m holding up a sign in the foreground saying ‘go home orange racist’ and the guy next to me has a sign saying ‘Trump is a c*nt’ A protest sign from the London 2018 March in the form of a random note, it says ‘Dear America, we have your President. If you do not send thirty billion dollars in unmarked notes by Friday morning we will return him to you.’ The baby trump giant inflatable is low down over the crowds before it’s raised into the sky

Maya had an ultrasound today (all clear) and her tummy is undignified and pink. This did not stop her jumping up to steal food (she had an appetite stimulant).
A black cat with a shaved tummy has jumped up on to the kitchen worktop to steal cat food from a small can. She is sitting on the hob/stove which is turned off with a child lock.

My Maya has speckles on one side of her face, just individual hairs not as distinct as this.

We get these visiting our suburban garden

Your kingfishers are much punkier than ours, this is one of my OH’s pics of our local kingfisher community
A Kingfisher, UK version, perched on a branch with dense greenery behind. The kingfisher has his back to us, bright blue with an even more intensely coloured streak down the centre. His head is turned to the left so his head is in profile. He has bright orange cheeks, a blue head and some white face markings and you can just see the orange on his front. He is very beautiful.

Harry could never relax around Pip, who didn’t know the meaning of the word good
A ginger tabby lies curled on a black lambswool blanket, on top of golden cushions on a red sofa. You’d think he’d be relaxed? No, because Pip, a grey tabby kitten about a third of his size, lies on the sofa facing Harry. Pip’s front paws are stretched towards Harry, almost touching Harry. As Harry was a very wise cat his eyes are open, staring at Pip in a very distrustful and suspicious manner. Pip looks innocent, looks can be deceiving.

Happy Friday the 13th

Never understood the obsession with cat breeds. All cats are beautiful, give homes to the ones that need them, don’t breed more.

This gorgeous boy was born feral, I mean look at how stunning he is.
A green eyed black cat lies in the grass, he’s looking to the right, alert and ready to move. He’s lithe and handsome. Don’t believe anyone who says black cats are hard to take photos of.

Orca watching boat trip in Iceland one January. We tagged along on a boat that had a ‘nature watching’ tour group who weren’t enjoying the ride in cold to get to where the orca were. But loads of gannets were following the boat, diving like crazy & it was fantastic and no-one cared but us. Weirdos
