Almost felt like a week 1 game in terms of not knowing exactly what was coming without Parsons. Hafley did such a good job imo, especially on 3rd downs. As a Bears fan, hoping for him to be hired as a HC this off-season.

Gotcha! I’ve always thought teams that do it largely do it when they figured the next possession would be their last, so it’s interesting that the advantage begins so much earlier than that.

Is there a time element with this? Obviously you’re not gonna go for two down 8 in the second quarter for instance. When does it become advantageous to do so? Just wondering because I almost wonder if they would do it if the 49ers scored on this next possession.
