As i read it, the cold water was really only particular to skubal. Rest were mostly just ‘the price is high so dont bet on it’. If there were other super high end guys, i wouldn’t be surprised if buster wanted one, but true that Bubic, Ragans, Peralta, Greene wont cost Eldridge-like player anyway.

I dont think its likely they trade him. But i can easily imagine buster thinking they need to be bold on sp and try to make some kind of package for top end sp. I think the chance of that increases given their apparently unwillingness to spend on rotation. Maybe it’s josuar though.

Credence that they trade Eldridge just went up, unfortunately. Trade + gallen/bassitt looks likely to me for SP. I like gallen actually on short term, but no where near value of ponce.
