I worked in a Brewer’s Fayre in the mid 90s while at uni. Music was ‘centrally managed’ using an early server and CDs set up. Once heard Mud ‘Lonely this Christmas’ 9 times in one day, it became water torture at one point.

The wee icon thing to the left of where it says the poke in the address bar then Show reader. It didn’t work quite as well on the poke but it’s a godsend for Reach sites if you ever need to go near them

The best compilation ever. As a teenager in 90s, I lremember us sticking on at house parties between the contemporary dross. Always got through most of it. Which seems bizarre as they weren’t popular at the time but it was so infectious we got away with it. Flood of memories there!

The single most bizarre incident of my life. plenty of interesting experiences, but that was just so wildly unexpected. My Mrs saying ‘there’s a guy with a Scottish accent shouting at you’. Like bumping into someone in the Beijing version of Shotts.

See if someone from Craigneuk came up with that on tiktok there would be much Scottish handwringing yet it’s feted. Also, Cubano sandwiches and feijoada gives me the boak too. Sometimes less is more.

Joel is right of course. Especially with regards to Meta. I find Bsky, even though far fewer ads, to be bit like dinner with boss. A lot of politeness but not much letting guard down. Just quieter in general. Not sure if that applies to higher traffic accounts like yours though.

Love this. A very warm obituary. She taught me at Strathy in the mid90s. A force of nature and very nice person.
