Really like the widgets view in CarPlay but on a non-touch screen implementation it is not obvious when/how you’re interacting.

Also quite like the rounded corners introduced in the latest update. Looks great on my car’s infotainment screen and just happens to work concentrically too!

I really don't like this Siri suggested widget for when I'm away from home and it suggests how long it might take to get back. The suggestion is fine but it just feels so cramped.
Apple Maps widget showing the time to get home, it has a blue circle with a home icon to signify which location but that icon is pushed right to the top left corner. The time since it was suggested is equally squashed, pushed right into the bottom left corner of the squircle.

No idea why the engraving wasn’t showing up on my iPhone before but it does now and it’s one of those touches that just makes a device feel so personal.

My two biggest annoyances with iOS 26. Taken from the Music app but apparent in my own apps too.

Number 1:
Too much refraction of icons within the iOS 26 Liquid Glass interface. The icon should not be considered as it sits on top of the glass.

Had my Nike Apple Watch strap for bear enough two years but had no idea it had a QR code for the suggested watch face to pair it with. Was throwing three boxes out and it’s the only one that had it.

Very quickly mocked up what an app for @goodgear.club might look like in @sketch.com using Apple’s symbol pack. Very tempted to build this now with #SwiftUI!

Had a bit of a lull in downloads but a small bit of promotion paid off with a jump in the App Store numbers. Would be good to get some reviews in… hate prompts but might link to the reviews from within the app itself 🤔

And in the Shortcuts app, also not using zoom transition, the keyboard is definitely second to appear which is how the implementation works in my own app when I tried it.

Back from a long weekend in Brussels via the Eurostar. It’s the second new country we’ve visited this year!

Surprisingly walkable and the weather was fantastic.

Long overdue, but live activities are here via the official #lfc app now, hopefully it functions better than the Apple Sports one but the @fotmob.com one is the gold standard IMO

Just submitted the next version of Team Sheets using the Xcode beta and I now see the Liquid Glass icons in iOS 18!

The main change in the update is a visual fix for lists which feel lopsided in when mixing components. Found a way to standardise it all throughout the app! #swfitui #buildInPublic

If my #SwiftUI app, Team Sheets is approved, the third release might be for iOS 26 support. Actually started it in Xcode Beta to test a few things and it snowballed into a real app. #BuildInPublic
