We have a Sanctuary Schools training coming up for teachers, and this week we have an in-school information meeting for students and families about their rights as immigrants.

I’m not sure if this is overstepping my role with them and don’t want to panic them unnecessarily, but I’m worried about them. They are incredibly vulnerable and don’t garner the same public sympathy as younger children.

I’m also wondering how best to support students who are unaccompanied minors, most of whom have full time jobs. I want to make sure they have some emergency plan—sharing with each other contact info of families, lawyers, workplaces for last paycheck, etc.—in case of an ice raid.
