Studies of coastal propagation, Chinese DXing, and more.
All is correctly functioning, including the change from R to C. I always am hesitant to point things out when they aren't working as I feel it may be a work in progress behind the scenes, but I guess it can be helpful sometimes :)

I should note that HF works just fine, but VHF is totally down.

Meanwhile, the entire map has been down for the past day. Wasn't sure if you were working on something or made an update that crashed the map, so I figure I'd wait a day or two. Only has zoom in/out but no menu, no paths, no HF button, nothing.

Whew, that's a tough one. Perhaps like screenshots, hold volume up or down as you click paths and it will display them. Or do the same and it works like holding R on the desktop. When I'm out (most of my DXing is mobile), I take screenshots on the phone. The openings are gone by the time I get home.

Still very useful in the case I want to show some call letters!! I now use both methods (well, tropo is a bit quiet nowadays actually). Any way to show multiple paths on the mobile version or is that a bit more difficult without a phone keyboard? Currently I can only display a single path still.

MWAHAHAHA. I feel like I just found a magical sword that gives me an epic amount of power!!! This is awesome (for all the time in big openings that I click 20 or so paths and then accidentally click a call sign and it opens up the box and paths start disappearing before I screenshot.)

Always happy to help!! I'll let you know if I see any more peculiar behavior. This one just appeared unexpectedly and the tropo wasn't even that notable at the time. It would be helpful when the Es (purple) mode kicks in to preserve the ability to still click paths though, as it kills that ability.

The blobs are actually BACKWARDS haha. The path I clicked is highlighted. You can see the actual paths associated with it extend outside the clicked blob and then the orange blob extends back in the opposite direction of the path (mirroring it) that heads SW.

Es detection caused some major problems the past two years as well. During the long-haul tropo openings we had (600 to 1,000 mi. ones), it would turn the paths purple and say they were Es, thus grouping all the paths together so you couldn't click anything. In the middle of the night nonetheless!

Edit: I also see that it doubles the path in front exactly the same distance. For example, if you have a 300-mi. actual path to the NE, the red path is exactly 600 miles to the NE and then mirrors it to the SW too.

After a few days out of town, I see your reply now and can only say YOU ROCK! Thank you so much for taking that extra effort to return that functionality. And the lingering white borders are fixed too. The ALT option doesn't work on phones (no keyboard), but I'll take what I can get here. Thanks!!

Thanks Jon! The blobs are oftentimes skewed when someone receives a single path that is an outlier so users will assume an entire region has tropo conditions when it doesn't, but clicking all the paths at once will show the true ducts/tropo clearly. I joined this site just to let you know haha! :)

An example of what was possible before but is no longer possible after this update, as selecting a second path erases the first path that was selected, showing only one. This particular image shows a lake tropo opening, which I save to complement the DX logs and weather data and share with others.

Jon, for the past 10 yrs., I have archived tropo openings using your maps by clicking many paths to show them all at once to get the true scope of openings that the "blobs" don't show. This update has killed the ability to do that. Any chance you can tweak it to allow showing multiple paths at once?
