IDC much for Wilson's plan but an overnight shelter at least gives ppl the option to get off the sidewalks overnight. He's done more for the homeless than you have or probably ever will. By this time next year the problem will have grown again, and you'll be making the same nonsensical comments.🙄

She just made it clear to me she doesn't have one, just a lot of word salad. The priority this year for PDX and state government has been F ICE, ABOLISH ICE and F Trump, I'm sure we can expect more of the same for the next 3 years.

"increased hostility" comes from a sitting councilor the only naturalized citizen who called America barbaric. What I see as barbaric is the city of PDX choosing to allow over 500 fatal fetty ODs this year on the streets across the city. PDX will do anything to help illegal immigrants...

It's too bad we can't have them ousted from a meeting for their bad behaviors like they have the power to oust anyone who is out of line during a meeting.

Ppl realized the council would make mistakes, I don't think the council expected people to pushback. However when they did, prime example the recent drama of eating while behind the dais being rude to those testifying they never considered what community told them.

How does 1500 shelter beds shelter 7000 unsheltered PDXers? If they're your neighbor please sweep them into your neighborhood & let them camp there all winter. By spring you'd be ready to actually solve the problem.

IMO the council can't learn anything new when they didn't learn from past Administrations. You're right, the majority of energy spent by them has been towards ICE.
