Hmm. I wonder if anything could have been done to stop this? 🤔 like if there was a govt shutdown with Dem leverage and Dems held their ground and forced negotiations?
December 12, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Yes, but 1000s (if not 10s of 1000s) of faculty and staff Canada-wide have lost or will lose their jobs and departments and faculties are being cut because of the drastic decrease in study permits. These policies appease right-wing populism, harm our economy, post-sec, and domestic students.

I’d prefer you invested big in Canadian post-secondary education and didn’t continue with the policies based on racism and ignorance that are decimating post-secondary education Canada-wide 🤷🏼‍♀️

trump lives forever
December 11, 2025 at 6:26 AM
I’ve been critical of many other decisions, but this is excellent policy that will benefit so many.

It’s almost as if he led a dysfunctional fringe alt-right group of vanity candidates with no experience and no hope until BC Libs collapsed; who ppl voted for bc they did no research, thought they were voting out Trudeau, and didn’t bother to care, or ask, if there’s such a thing as too racist.

Yes, all those first-time home buyers buying brand new homes. Will help so many people struggling with the daily cost of living. Maybe tackling price gouging for things like groceries, internet, cell services could possibly help more people? Or should we just pretend trickle down economics works?
December 3, 2025 at 1:04 AM
Wouldn’t it be nice if the Minister of the Environment could say whether or not a new pipeline could have a negative impact on the environment. Can’t wait to see what greenwashing we’re in store for 🙄
December 2, 2025 at 8:14 AM
If you’re talking about the Carbon Capture and Storage, do some research into it. It’s high cost, low efficiency, and pretty much just makes more money for Big Oil. This isn’t a fringe opinion. CCS is not a progressive choice. It’s more greenwashing

Capitulation over innovation. Embarrassing. And infuriating
November 27, 2025 at 8:16 PM
Greenwashing BS jargon. Smith doesn’t care about the environment, and clearly neither do you. Why cater to separatists to build up an industry with lowering demand, while alienating and infuriating so many, and harming our global perception. Capitulation over innovation.
November 27, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Or they’re going to say that the files are part of an ongoing investigation against Dems involved with Epstein so they can’t be released
November 18, 2025 at 8:12 PM
Dude, you orchestrated this.
November 10, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Pathetic, weak, useless. What was the point of the shutdown if you’re just going to cave in return for nothing??
November 10, 2025 at 3:05 AM
You literally accomplished nothing. Why shutdown to begin with? Why have people suffer just so you can cave and prove once again that dems are weak and pathetic?
November 10, 2025 at 3:02 AM
You negotiated nothing. Got nothing. Proved, once again, that Republicans can get away with anything because Dems are weak and pathetic.
November 10, 2025 at 2:58 AM
It’s already not ok in post-sec. Thousands of jobs lost. Programs closed. Because of the drastic shift in study permits available and changes in requirements. New budget slashes study permits in half again. They won’t keep coming because they can’t. A great explanation: thetyee.ca/News/2025/09...
This Fall, International Students Are Heading Elsewhere | The Tyee
After Ottawa’s changes ‘impacted Canada’s reputation,’ BC institutions are struggling to fill their allotted seats.

With few exceptions, just building Canada strong for investors and industry. Unless in these industries, the avg person? Reads like trickle down economics “plan” for rich to get richer with avg consumers not benefitting.

And post sec, already cratering, will be decimated by the racist study cap.
November 5, 2025 at 4:45 AM
And the entire post-secondary system will be decimated. Thousands of jobs lost already. International reputation destroyed. All because International students have been politicized and racism prevails. Educators and Domestic students will continue to suffer and so will our economy.

@mark-carney.bsky.social Can we stop pretending the “ceasefire” was going to stop Israel from continuing its Genocide and actually do something??
