Much like Velvet Underground or King Crimson, what we think of FFIV now says more about us than FFIV IMO

It’s probably one of the most important RPGs in my life. Cannot overstate how it’s the ocean all other Final Fantasy’s swim in for me. I played it as II on my SNES as a kid and nothing was the same ever again.

I was regularly not allowed to see things. Donny and Marie were the devil, etc.

I honestly fell in love with games everywhere I could get them. 2600, Arcade, PC, NES, Gameboy, and Genesis/SNES. I had deeply religious experiences across them all. but if I had to pick, I’d say PC - shareware and Sierra most of all
