I think post Covid almost every mainline. Church would not find it weird if somebody waved instead of shaking hands at the passing of the peace! I hope next Sunday goes well and if you’re ever in/up for the drive to Northfield, do stop in at All Saints!

I’m not a relativist. Some things are objectively wrong, but I think the overwhelming majority of things—especially the things that show up in the maw of the internet—actually do require some nuance, subtlety, and context.

(If you think you know what/who I’m subskeeting, you’re probably right. But that—whatever/whomever—is certainly not the only thing I’m subskeeting. I have more than once paused before doing the right thing in my parish because I was worried what people on the internet might think about it.)

I’m a big fan of social media—especially church social media—but one thing I think is not helpful about social media is that it enables folks all over to have an opinion about something that doesn’t affect them and about which they don’t have all the information. 🕯️
