I bargained with Life for a penny,
and Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

Life is a just employer.
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I met a bank teller with a bad attitude. Treated her like she was the nicest person in the world. Within a few minutes her whole attitude changed. She smiled ear to ear. Sometimes people are having a bad day. Give them a little ray of sunshine.

An older gentleman shared this advice:
Been at many death beds.
Never heard a man say he wished he spent more time at the office. Most wish they spent more time with family.

A gentleman in his 70s let me hang out with him.
I noticed he bounced when he walks.
Has a very positive outlook on life.
It was so inspiring being around him.
When I need advice I go to him.
Need some of what he’s got.
He hasn’t let age slow him down.
