I get to use my favorite word today. These are the antepenultimate sunrise and sunset photos from this apartment. In case this is a new word, antepenultimate means third to last. Ante (before) + penultimate (second to last). Fun word, right? [as always, the sunset photos have the church spire]

#Sunrise & #Sunset today. I tried a new angle at sunrise, leaning out the window & turning 90 degrees. Boy did I get a more colorful result! I almost missed sunset because I was showing the apt to prospective tenants. I bet they’d rent it if they saw my collection of sunrise/sunset photos!
Amazing orange sunrise over the Alps! The last of the sunset on 19 November. A little yellow left at the horizon contrasted against a light blue sky with dark clouds.

Yesterday’s sunset, framing a church spire and with dark rolling clouds taking up about 60% of the sky, mostly to the left. Sky is yellow and the horizon, going to orange, then pink, then a periwinkle blue at the top. Lovely!

Yesterday’s and today sunrises. You can just see Lake Geneva in the background, in the upper right quadrant of the frame (if you look hard enough). Today’s is the more colorful one sunrise.

Only a few more sunrises from this terrific vantage point. This was my 11th to last, on Friday.
Sunrise with pinks, lavenders, and light blue at the top. Foregrounded by two amazing Lebanese cedars as well as other trees with leaves of mostly orange amber, and deep green. You can also see some building in the distance. It is a beautiful scene.

I really miss Get Your War On these days. Maybe it is time for GYWO, the sequel?
A 2001 comic strip from Get Your War On. In the first panel, one office worker says into the phone, “Oh my god, this War On Terrorism is gonna rule! I can’t wait until the over and there’s no more terrorism!” In the second panel, we see the guy he on the phone with in a different office. The second guy responds, “I know! Remember when the U.S. had a drug problem, and then we declared a War On Drugs, and now you can’t buy drugs anymore? It’ll be just like that! In the third and final panel, we see the first guy again. He replies. “Right! God, if only that War On Drugs hadn’t’t been so effective! I could really use some fucking marijuana right now! The art is generic clip art that you could buy in a set in the late 90s to the 2000s.
