It may feel weird or somehow improper to talk about your art or your writing, but we need it. It can’t be wall-to-wall nightmare all the time. Art is both counterweight and context. It’s escape and enlightenment and a mirror of our own exasperation. We need it. We NEED it. Keep showing us.

I can’t help but feel trapped in this damn hospitality world. I want to get into something that actually helps people, impacts people. A library, a museum, an art gallery. But none of them are hiring for a Celeste who hasn’t worked in these places before. I can’t help but feel like I’m stuck here.

Another tip. (thanks @sjbastro.bsky.social). Aim a camera (on a tripod) at Sirius (brightest star in the night sky, take long exposures and rock/nudge the tripod. As its light passes through Earth's atmosphere, it filters a range of colours. Here's some of my examples #astronomy #astrophotography
