Hard disagree. The internet is a safe space for a lot of kids, as well as a bastion of knowledge that they aren't getting from our shitty schools. We need to better regulate the content on the internet, not how/what people use the internet, and put more responsibility on parents, not everyone else.

Eh, that's always fakeable. No guarantee that the person wearing the ID is the person it belongs to.

Replace him as governor...? How is that not clear? We're stuck with him as Cali's governor until an election or other means to replace him.

I'm not even saying not to criticize him. Just that we shouldn't act like his stance on civil rights is worth trashing a useful tool without a replacement.
July 19, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Like I said to another commenter, they're my civil rights, too. I'm just not so shortsighted and naïve to think that a front has to be unified on every issue all the time to work together against a bigger threat.

Unless you have a way to replace Newsome w/ a better option *right now*, fuck off.
July 19, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Not the whole problem, but certainly part of it. There wasn't any single big thing that lost us that election. A lot of little things had to add up. Even with cheating as a potential factor, there still had to be enough people with the right opinions to pin the blame on to get away with cheating.

If we're lucky, Trump 2.0 is the catalyst we needed to wake up and fix our shit, but if we don't compromise and prioritize, we're all doomed and the most vulnerable among us will have no hope at all.
July 19, 2025 at 3:25 PM
Hence the 2024 election. People were so caught up on Kamala not being the Goldilocks Candidate that we ended up with Trump again.
July 19, 2025 at 3:25 PM
And the rest of the dems won't stand up to Trump at all. The enemy of my enemy may not be my friend, but they are a useful tool, nonetheless.

Until we get more AOC's, Crockett's, Mamdani's, and Bernie's, we should accept the help from where it comes or else we end up with nothing at all.

I AM one of the "expendable people", you stupid fuck.

Get the hell outta my face.

Typical new expansion instability. It'll be fine soon enough, don't worry.
July 19, 2025 at 2:32 PM
Eh, one fight at a time, ya know? Let's deal with the existential threat and then we can hammer out the flaws.
July 19, 2025 at 2:30 PM
Yes. Also, the Sunless Cells strike.
July 18, 2025 at 9:58 PM
What was so powerful about the Grapple boon that made them remove it? I didn't get the chance to try it out
July 18, 2025 at 3:58 PM
What was the issue?
July 16, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Eh, the Raid Race will really only show how many hardcore players are still around. That number will probably be comparatively closer to normal, tbh.

Twitch viewers of the Day 1 might be a good metric to see how many people are still interested in the franchise but skeptical about buying back in.
July 16, 2025 at 3:50 PM
PvP maps, I get, but people are getting so hung up on the idea of "Strikes" being a benchmark when we've gotten better content out of Seasonal Content than we would've if we'd just had 4 more strikes to replay ad nauseam.

The only problem with the Seasonal Content approach is that it gets vaulted.
July 16, 2025 at 3:47 PM
Part of the problem is that they've done a piss-poor job bringing on new players and the "Rollercoaster of Quality" really hasn't helped that issue.

The Destiny community is also toxic AF, which pushes away potential new players even more.
July 16, 2025 at 3:43 PM
The key was to just not play seasons until the last 1/4 of the season. And also to not play the game like it's a second job. My rule since Beyond Light has been to just not play the game if it feels like I'm playing because I *HAVE* to. There are other things to do in life. Taking breaks is healthy.
July 16, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Yeah, the verticality is yet another stark contrast with Lightfall, the "most vertical map ever".
July 16, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Idk. I just know I'm getting like 20 Trace Rifle ammo per pickup now instead of ~100. If I'm not spamming abilities and using heavy some, I definitely won't have special ammo. And so, this probably won't suffice in harder-than-Patrol content.
July 16, 2025 at 12:40 AM
I think the smaller ammo pickups might be intentional, both because they seem more frequent not and because it seems they want us to spec into different directions instead of being master of all disciplines. I'm having trouble with my Trace Rifle + Fusion Rifle right now because of ammo scarcity.

Are you saying there are only seven developers left working on the game? Is this a cry for help? Blink twice for yes 🧐🤪
July 12, 2025 at 4:21 PM
It is. They've been posting a series of messages "from the Nine" in order for several days now.
July 12, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Yes, all the normal vendors (ex. Shaxx, Zavala, Banshee, etc...) reset their engram count at the end of every season. Seasonal vendors (ex. Failsafe, Eido, Eris' Rock) leave when a new expansion arrives.

I think that's a hoodless Hunter. There seems to be a cape instead of a butt-cape. Hard to tell for sure, though.
