But, on the other other hand, i would need to say that no matter what name i give them, so fuck it, maybe ill do it.

on the one hand, it would be euphoric to have alice be the only name they call me, but on the other hand if we talk more and get close, there would inevitably be a point where I would have to say "listen, I know i said my name is alice but i also have other names."

I played up until you get to the space station and 9S helps adjust your settings. It made me so happy I saved and quit bc I think I want to wait until I have someone to sit with while I play. I wanna laugh and talk with someone.

however, new glasses are coming in the mail, I know how to fix my ears, and we're looking into getting a new phone, so it's not a huge deal. The sun will rise.

TBH this is the worst possible time to try to make a new friend because my ears are gone *and* my phone is missing so I can't exchange numbers. damn fate

Someone at the market talked to me today and I'm getting excited at the prospect of making a new friend but also desperate to fix my ears before we talk more so I don't have to constantly ask them to speak up.

It's frustrating not being able to hear people talk, but it's also a blessing to not have to suffer the noise our roommates make. It feels like a metaphor for how closed off and misanthropic we've been while also being bored and craving attention.
