Side trip to Victoria from Vancouver. Great cycling infrastructure, moderately decent public transit. Seattle has a growing LRT system, plus improving cycling and rail services. And Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria are adding lots of low car use housing…

Was behind a bus yesterday. In the other lane were two of these behemoths. 2-4 people occupying the same space as 40-80. We need road tolls to remove these monstrosities from the road.

I have a friend I still stay in touch with whom I have known for 67 years ( we were together in kindergarten, I was an immigrant newly landed from Ireland. Did not see each other again until junior high.). Glad we have stayed in touch over the years.
