they smell divine! did you know this flower is the origin of the word "pink"? exact origin is obscure but may stem from the "pinked" edges of the petals. I believe they came to Britain from France during the Norman Invasion and thrived on castle walls!

oh, I wish you could see the sweet pea displays in the Great Pavillion at RHS Chelsea this week! They are incredible, such a variety of colours and shades from the palest of pale pinks to the deepest of deep crimsons.

wildflowers do make the prettiest bouquets! A very thoughtful gift.

it also means you've destroyed a valuable food source for countless insects and pollinators. Don't destroy the nettles!

once, but it was something that happened when I decided to see what would happen if I put India Ink in the water with some white saxifrage flowers, but certainly never in the natural growth of a flower. Stunning!

sowing a wildflower meadow is no mean feat, and there is a lot to learn to get it right. You don't just throw seeds about, and it takes several years to reach fruition.

Have you noticed some min pmts are less than the interest charged if you only make the min pmt? So how do people get their balance paid off if the card is charging more interest than the min pmt being made? Even if you charge nothing, your balance owed is still going up each month. It's very wrong.

sow more seeds every year if you want flowers every year as they flower on the second year's growth. Soon, our hedgerows will be sending up the towering spikes of pink across our byways and country lanes.

use only rose scented or lemon scented leaf geraniums. put a layer of clean leaves {not flowers} on the base of your cake pan and pour over the batter. bake as per recipe and remove leaves carefully so as not to damage the cake once cooled. this imparts the most delicate flavour to the sponge.

nature is miraculous. it's an indoor plant here, but have you ever baked a cake and lined the tin with the scented leaves before baking@

I still have my uniform with badges and loads of books, incl. a handbook circa 1968. I was Patrol Leader of Daffodil, 1st St David's Girl Guides!

Wish I'd taken a photo of my rosemary "tree" before the storm trashed and killed it. It was nearly 30 yrs old about 10ft across bought as a tiny potted herb in 1996 and it moved house with me three times in its pot before planting out. It was HUGE and always full of buzzing busy bees of all kinds.🐝🌻

Our days are currently blue skied, almost wind free and dry! Bitterly cold! When we got the cloud and rain was middle of the night when there was a magical lunar eclipse which was hidden from view.
