Alastor only take away from a sexual experience being "needs more oregano" feels accurate, I dunno

(Maybe even repulsed, but more so just thinking disinterested in it) would have his character stand out more when most to every character in this series is interested romantically or sexually in others.

That's just me though, we'll have to see. I'm just kinda surprised they're planning to explore

Im really hoping Alastor is just not interested in sex or romance.
Not a fan how some have been calling this person "restrictive" and like we have a bunch of ace rep (we don't). I think saving the shipping is best saved for fandom space.
Plus, Alastor NOT being sex/romance inclined

But that's just me. I really don't need Alastor repulsed really, I'd just like him not interested in sex and certainly NOT interested in romance.
I don't even know who'd he'd even get with if they were to try a romance lol

But those are just my hopes, and I'm trying not to let the fandom bum me out

Reasoning honestly. Because it is a spectrum and there's no hard right or wrong way to depict it.
To me, personally, having a character adamantly reject (maybe not repulsed, just reject) sex and romance would feel nicer for ace rep when, again, that's a big point of asexuality peep don't like.

When most people do like Alastor without the core points of asexuality and aromanticism (that being having the LACK to or little attraction. And instead keep him pretty much as any other gay/bi/straight char in terms of attractions)
That is just me tho, and I'm sure plenty use "ace is spectrum"

Or trying to think of ways of how their ship can be feasibly Canon.
Someone doesn't need to "defend" themself to ship for one, it's for fun. But 2, the spectrum reasoning always ends up sounding like a disguised way of saying "don't want/like him aroace". Which is disheartening

This holy crap. This has been one of my biggest... pet peeves I guess? Concerning how the fandom "deals" with Alastor’s asexuality.
Like to me, while people aren't wrong when they say "asexuality is a spectrum" (it is), it tends to feel more like an excuse or defense to being able to ship Al
