6/7 I’ve always told myself—and even my parents—that I would seriously commit to studying as many music genres as possible, and I meant that. I’m very much a “stick to my word” kind of person. 💕

5/7 Because of that, I’ve been challenging myself to see if I can create a fully #instrumental metal track where the instruments carry all the emotion and energy. 🎸🔥

4/7 Right now, I’m starting to research #metalmusic. I have mixed feelings—not because it’s bad at all, but because while I really enjoy the guitar riffs and instrumentation, screaming vocals just aren’t pleasant to my ears personally. No disrespect to anyone who loves that style! 🤘💛

3/7 I’ve already explored quite a few genres jazz, hip hop, techno, classic video-game #music from the #Sega Genesis era, arcade-style beats, orchestral pieces, and I even have a track inspired by Indian and African music. Each one has taught me something new, and I honestly love the challenge. 🌍🎹

2/7 I like understanding how different genres work so I can either replicate a style accurately or take inspiration from it and give it my own twist. 💖

I own physical copies of those games, and now I feel oddly lucky to have them… but at the same time, my heart really goes out to everyone who lost their jobs. It’s such a rough reminder of how fragile this industry can be 💔
