I saw it as a fallback in case you're terrible at parrying/dodging. Though some weapons DO scale with defense, so you'll need it for them.

Ahh, okay. I wrecked everything at 80 and the only fight that gave me trouble was T9's boss. Final boss was still cool as hell though.

Oh I know that, it's just you're kinda expected to know every dungeon and take charge, the actual *tanking* part is pretty easy.

I can understand where you're coming from. It's a lot on your plate all at once, but you don't have to finish the whole thing right there. It'll never spoil and you can take it at your own pace.

Yeah sounds like the 2.1-2.5 quest slog got ya. HW is such a massive jump in... everything, really. I burnt out in 2019 and only recently started playing again earlier this year.
If you do decide to give it another try, lemme know. I'll gladly run stuff with you, and help however I can.

Now I'm wondering where/when you quit. There was a time when MSQ was a massive chore, but they've overhauled the ARR questline to be more streamlined. And never feel bad about people running low level content with you. They get massive rewards for doing it. It's the whole point of that system.

I'm actually going thru E33 right now and despite the fans being insufferable about it, it's actually very good and I need the OST.
BG3 is a masterpiece in its own right tho, and I'll recommend that game to everyone. It's some of the most fun I've ever had playing a video game.
