I dont think Umori is problematic in general. You do have to deliberately buy in to the gimmick, and even when you do for non-creature types many commanders are wont meet the requirement.
But Zirda and Kaheera? Do you think a large number of decks could accidentally meet their criteria?

Magic peeps who actually have an idea about Commander. Its recently dawned on me that potential hybrid mana changes may be meaningfully bad with Companions.
A friend of has an all creature Ruric Thar deck. If hybrid mana changes there is no reason not to include Umori. Thats... not great.

In my Terra deck, he can meaningfully double two of her three triggers. He can generate mana off Tataru. Do funny things with Thancred. Or even cheat once per turn abilities like Rinoa.

The more I think about this lad the better I feel he is. I would be surprised if he was efficient enough for competitive formats. But a 3 mana panharmonicon effect with good base stats and a 'better' typing is very neat.
