Enquiries were made for players like Garnacho, but club would only act if the right deal for the right price could be done. If not, it was about making headway for moves to be made in summer and the club believe they have done this for some of their targets.

He broke Neymar's record, which is impressive even if he plays against 'worse' sides. Especially since in South America talented attackers at a young age are played at wings where there is more space, and away from the goal.
