Unpacked and settled. Well as unpacked as I get. Hotel room is smaller but I can walk downtown if I need to. Rest of today is quiet. Tomorrows Christmas.

Checked into the Manhattan hotel. Way closer to midtown than being an hour away. Called my ENT. Got a last minute but routine appointment for 1/2. I’m around so much loud music and I’d like to be able to hear. Need to take care of that when this wraps up.

Last section from the top and we are calling it. Everyone’s tired but in a good way. Yesterday was technical grinding today was actually performing.

Timing is getting tighter. Transitions are cleaner. This is starting to feel like an actual show instead of a rehearsal. Half day tomorrow and a day off for Christmas.

We’ve run through the whole show with minimal stops. Directors making notes has a few notes but we are right where we want to be I think.

Quick working lunch. Production doesn’t want to loose momentum. Eating (carefully) while we doors are next segments. Camera angles are locked. Lighting cues are set. Just need to run it till it’s smooth.

Camera is back online. Starting rehearsal 45 minutes behind schedule. Director wants to push through lunch jf needed to make up time. Going to be a long day.

Camera 3s internal clock died overnight. Reset itself to 1/1/1970. All yesterday’s programming is gone or scrambled. Crew is reprogramming everything. 45 minute delay we didn’t have time for.

Back at the hotel. Crew got everything shut down and prepped for tomorrow. First full rehersal day is done. Lots of technical stops but that’s how it goes. Tomorrow we run it faster with fewer camera adjustments. Stage looks good. Talent knows their marks.

Talent has to be out by 7 per union rules. Crew has another hour to shut everything down properly then we have to be clear by 8. Long day of first turn throughs and technical adjustments. Tomorrow we will move faster now that the cameras know their positions.

We’ve done the same transitions about eight times now. Different angles, different lighting cues, adjusting blocking. Directors locking in what works. Talent is getting tired but staying professional.
