Mostly pro wrestling (AEW, CMLL, NJPW, Indies, anything that isn't WWE), occasional video game, film/television, art, and music posts. - I will shitpost about The Simpsons, usually in the form of obscure wrestling jokes.

Normal timeslot is debatable. It will air when the MLB game ends...and those shows usually start late.
cgd-2.bsky.social
It's also gonna be one of those shows that starts when the MLB game is over, and not at a guaranteed time...so, prepare for that headache. Lol

The venue doesn't want to be associated with speaking against ICE...that's why. It has nothing to do with AEW, and what the audience does/doesn't support...and more to do with the venue itself not wanting to be seen as a venue that allows it. - It's a bitch move by them...but it doesn't reflect AEW.
cgd-2.bsky.social
The venue (which is owned by the city of Jacksonville, Florida)...and 'Bold Events LLC' who do the events coordinating for the venue. - The security guy was venue security, not AEW security.

I was fine the entire time...because, I saw what the payoff was going to be.
cgd-2.bsky.social
All good. I didn't take it any specific way.
cgd-2.bsky.social
Now, that we can likely agree on...but, that's a different statement. - I was clarifying that Tony doesn't own the venue. Because, some people thought he did for some reason.
cgd-2.bsky.social
The city literally paid to build the venue. They own it.
cgd-2.bsky.social
They are an events coordinator from what I've seen. Not the owner of the venue...
cgd-2.bsky.social
Yeah...I don't know. Apparently, this was a thing that some people thought, and I just wanted to be like....nah. Lol
cgd-2.bsky.social
No...Tony Khan, nor even Shad Khan own Daily's Place. The city of Jacksonville, Florida owns Daily's place. - Just to clarify about venue staff taking the sign away. Shad owns the Jaguars, not the stadium they play in. #AEW 🤼
cgd-2.bsky.social
But they definitely saw Bandido on AEW last night? Lol
cgd-2.bsky.social
He absolutely does not own Daily's Place. The city of Jacksonville does. And his father owns the Jaguars. Lol

Cheesecake would fucking never.

Anyway...if this is the CMLL encounter, it's not super great. - Obviously it's still a cool match. It's not bad or anything...but, it is severely limited by Bandido being injured. - Absolutely still worth a watch. Just stem your expectations...

That's what I'm thinking...but, it's a bit odd that they don't present it that way. It should probably just say so. Lol
cgd-2.bsky.social
I'm trying to figure out if this is another new match, or the RoH airing of the match they had in CMLL (which I already saw) Lol.
cgd-2.bsky.social
Is this another match...or is it the CMLL match that they obtained the rights to show on RoH? 🤼

Hopefully he got a better payday because of AEW existing. This is what the hope is for everyone. - If they lowballed him and only paid him more because he threatened leaving...then that's still a win for AEW in my book.

If you haven't seen it, you should watch the match she had in NJPW against Masahiro Chono. - Brutal, violent, and hard to watch at times...but, you can feel her pouring her entire being into that match to prove something. - It's one of the most truly special matches in history.
