The plan has widespread support from policymakers, local authorities and arts and culture leaders. The novel Citizens Assembly and inclusive process has been described as "a shining example of how we can put communities at the heart of cultural decisions" (Lisa Nandy MP).

Developed over two years by people across West England, the plan makes recommendations for public spaces, schools, local authorities, funders and cultural organisations, aiming to make culture more accessible for all.

Since 2020 the Jury, chaired by Angela Merkel, has awarded €6 million to accelerate climate action – from ecosystem preservation in Antarctica to sustainable agriculture projects in Egypt and India.
