Today I got up at 3am, drove to Union Station in LA, got there at 5, waited for 30 minutes for our daughter's train to arrive, drove back home and ate a burrito she bought yesterday from a street vendor in El Paso during a stop.

My mom was from AZ, but moved to Downey as an infant, my dad born in Calexico. His employees, all Hispanic men born in LA, referred to him as "wetto." I was almost grown up before I got the joke.
