Saw Amigo The Devil, supported by Rattlesnake Milk and TK & The Holy Know Nothings, last night.

Sea Hibiscus - Hibiscus tiliaceus subsp. pernambucensis.

A tree of many uses including very good nautical lumber, bonsai, and even as a catalyst for the fermentation of tempeh.

Native to most of the tropics, I wish I could grow them in Colorado.

This subspecies is named after my home state.

One last treat before I leave. Gorgeous ‘Cobra Cipó-Verde’, Philodryas aestiva, crossing a bike path.

One of the coolest things about visiting Recife is the chance to see some cool fauna and flora. Like this beauty of a sea slug.
