As one of the original members of the National Commision on the Humanities, support for the immense value that the humanities bring to Americans' daily lives is core to our identity. CGS is proud to sign onto this statement on the cuts to the National Endowment for the Humanities.

CGS is deeply concerned by the Trump Administration’s EO to dismantle the Department of Education. While Congressional action is required to truly dismantle the Department, any loss of committed department staff will seriously compromise the success of Americans pursuing graduate degrees.

Hi BlueSky!

For six decades, the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) has been the national voice for the graduate education community. CGS is the only national organization in the United States that is dedicated solely to the advancement of graduate education and research.

We're glad to be here!
