Animation Tip #4 – Jump Cleanup (Blender)

Torso jump keyframed → IK legs broke through ground (world-space to torso).
Fix: Bake IK, delete Z keys below ground in Graph Editor → clean, natural legs without IK/FK switching. Then polish.

Animation Tip#3:
mocap transfer for layered workflow, you can transfer the hip motion to your character kind of like retargeting but with an offset using an empty as a middleman, then adjust and choose the weight, etc
in the example I'm using mixamo but my mocap of choice are rokoko and quickmagic

for a layered workflow, you can use animtoolbox to simplify your controllers, I put all the Iks under WS ctrls and link (equivalent of inside in ovverrig script) to the WS torso then delete the baked keys and block out the torso

Here's a tip, if you have rotation data from the head, leverage that to make a rotation on the entire character using space switching, I use animtoolbox for that
