hopefully they have also removed the vulnerability from non deployed containers and AMIs .. so that it doesn't get redeployed on Monday when new code starts to get checked in again

it doesn't seem feasible that there is any way to recover the capex install costs of the hardware, never mind the ongoing power costs and the software design and engineering costs.
