Damn it. I just wanted to build a VM and install Netbox on it. Wanted to play around with it and see if it was worth dealing with for my home network. Now I'm in update hell with getting Hyper-V unfucked.

Maybe I'm not following along with the exact meaning but this passage seems to imply that no one gave a crap about security until Microsoft showed up. An honorable mention goes to the world wide web's impact but mostly Microsoft Windows....

If you’re going to be gathering with people over the holidays, you can potentially save your loved ones a lot of pain and grief by doing a rapid test first and staying away if you test positive or feel at all unwell. Missing out is no fun but being the cause of someone else’s illness would be worse!
