I imagine there will be some sort of transition.

This is a good point. They do have KCC II and HB Køge. I don't know the rules around short-term loans. NWSL seems to be a little less transparent with that info than the massive rules and regs from MLS.

Technically yes, but if you plan to use them at the start of the season it probably wouldn't make sense because then you have to cut someone.
Lots of teams just doing the non-roster invitee (NRI) thing to bring more players to preseason.
