A herd of goats walks past on a dirt road. The goatherd stops to pose for a photo. The young dog helping to herd the goats also stops for a photo. Though somewhat warily.

Thanks so much for your kind words!

This is what's so engaging about interacting with other photographers, I think! I, too, most love the images of others that it would have never occurred to me to take, and that make me introspective about what I am missing when I am out shooting! ❤️

Thanks! I had been thinking there was something to potentially be done with this.

They are such neat and heavily personalized vehicles and it's amazing to see them driving all over the desert out there.

Petroglyphs on the landscape (cont’d), Bakhita, Jordan 2025

Some (more) of the many petroglyphs around the site.

A large basalt rock with later Safaitic inscriptions. A large stone with Safaitic inscriptions and camels. A wide view from this location. Rocks in the foreground have camel and ibex inscriptions. Our camp is visible way in the distance. A closeup detail of a small stone with a (relatively) recent Arabic inscription.

Huh, yup, that would also make sense.

I was thinking like a lomograflok for type 100 film. Which I also guess existed as the Polaroid 405 back. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
chadhill.bsky.social
The project remains wildly ambitious…

But if they are thinking of producing new custom backs as well, which they mention here, then surely they are not planning to be as limited as the 1-per pack supersense packs???

A green building with a motorbike parked in front and clothes hanging on a line. Road sign in the middle of town marking km 0. A low white House with an open blue door. A run down house with a blue door, and a red bike parked in front.

Would rock this bumper sticker.

It’s opening night on Broadway for Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in ‘Waiting for Godot’

Went to see it in previews with my mom, recently, and it was a delight (or as delightful as existential dread gets). With a fun shout out to Wyld Stallyns.

Portrait of a photographer, by a photographer. New Jersey, 2025

Seneca Improved View 8x10, Astragon 210 4.5, Ilford DPP

The results from the shooting session yesterday, with nephew. Shot of me was entirely his work (assisted by daughter), and processed together.

#BelieveInFilm #LargeFormat
Contrasty large format black and white photo of me sitting on the front steps of a house holding a large format camera. Contrasty black and white image of a young man sitting on a stoop holding an slr.

Large format!

Two great shots of the Seneca 8x10 and 5x7 in action. In the first my daughter is helping me with critical focus! 🥰

Shot this summer by my awesome nephew, @isaacblomqvist.bsky.social, with his Pentax Super Program, on Kodak Gold.

Isaac just joined Bsky!

More tests!

Benson Instant Box Cam, paper negative inverted digitally (left) and (irl) positive print via the built in copy stand (right).

Need to readjust the stand registration.

Trying to get the workflow nailed down so I can do some “real” shooting next weekend.😅

#BelieveInFilm #AfghanBoxCam
Black and white photo of a bearded man, with just his head lit by strobes against a black background. Same exact image but this is slightly cropped and slightly muddier and higher contrast and slightly out of focus because this is a real positive print. There is a wavy border at the top and bottom.

My experience, too.

Had been a pro subscriber years ago and then stopped for many years.

Came back relatively recently and was surprised to find it useful and more active again. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

😄😄

Thanks!! I’m super psyched to add these to the instant box process!
chadhill.bsky.social
lol. 😅

Gelatin should be a good choice. And I HAVE gelatin and subbed some last night.

But a better choice would almost certainly be gelatine with hardener and that I don’t have (chrome alum). 😅😅
chadhill.bsky.social
Ohhhhh. 👀👀👀👀 got a line on something???

(Though technically this
IS a 35mm cartridge so i am pretty sure you could shoot this in almost any 35mm camera!!! 😅😅😅😅😬😬😬🤔🤔🤔)
chadhill.bsky.social
😅

An intermediary layer that sticks better to the surface of the base and provides a better surface for the emulsion to stick to.

A well cleaned metal tintype plate doesn’t need this, but a glass plate does.

It shouldn’t be tricky, it’s just a layer of gelatin, but it’s an extra prep step
chadhill.bsky.social
Right!?!!?!!

And, bonus, this is gonna massively justify the dozens and dozens of flattened cartridges I’ve been keeping in a drawer in my darkroom for no good reason (until now). 😅😅😅😬😬

❤️❤️

Thank you, Deborah! I’m super psyched to make more of these!
