It baffles me that there has been a standard for things to scrape the internet as well as a way for website owners to control how much those scrapers are able to access... And then AI companies are allowed to just ignore all of that and do it in the most inefficient and detrimental ways possible.

For some absolutely bizarre reason I can remember a scene from an episode where her parents told her she wasn't allowed to do something until she was older and her saying "and I'm older than I was when they said it". I remember absolutely nothing else from this show.

I just use a Walmart brand ONN one with my laptop. Surprisingly good actually but it's a little small for my hands.

That cable makes me wonder if you could skip the recording box part altogether and adapt it to composite. If so I wonder if the quality would be any better.

I notice I call any form of interacting with a website or app "clicking on something" even when I'm using a touchscreen. Old habits die hard I guess.

There actually is a distinction between disc and disk though. Disc refers to optical media (CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays) whereas disk refers to magnetic or solid state media (Floppy disks, hard disks, flash disks)

Wishing you luck! My sister went to Japan twice last year and she said it was so much fun! Lots of the food was pretty cheap and there are lots of secondhand shops where you can get all sorts of cool stuff.

Honestly I didn't even care. I hated Cad Bane so much. I've never been happier to watch a character die.

I have a pretty stupid, but thankfully not severe, injury story. I lived out in the country and liked to have camp fires. I lit a match and somehow managed to drop it. It landed in my shoe and stayed lit. Thankfully both my shoe and I were mostly unharmed. Not my proudest moment though.

You can use WeMo stuff offline but it requires setting up something like a raspberry pi running home assistant to essentially act as a hub. Not ideal but might be worth it if you have tons of WeMo gear.
