Okay. Trump has now contributed to losing us the AI race. All of the H1B Visa workers in our tech industry just found out they'd make more money working for China.
At the intersection of not upgrading our power system, and not putting money into government computer research, America has already lost the AI race with China. We lost it years before Trump would put hands on the controls of the country. He didn't lose us this war. He's losing us the next ten wars.

I think I might be a cynical optimist. I look at the most positive aspects of the worst case scenario. For example, every time a genocidal tyrant is overthrown, social progress takes a leap forward. So we can look forward to social change... You know... After we go full Nazi first.
