And also, if budgets are not friendly towards you, we can always work out some sort of remote connection affair - even if it's just a pdf letter to your class. Please come and say hello! We can make it work!

For a while, I worked at Jilly Cooper's local library. She came in once for a new library card and I swooned. "YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY" (My boss, behind me: "It's 50p"). She was very lovely and I was very overwhelmed and I had nothing but love and admiration for her ever since. She changed the world.

this one's from 88 - and yes! it cuts that as well! I only ever discovered the whole E thing existed when I eventually got onto the hardbacks.

Honestly it varies depending on the book and how much time I've got to put it up. (no use, I know!).

book clear out (sad music, sympathy, thank you kindly)

I'll be listing these for sale over the next few days but if anybody's interested, please do pop me a message and an offer (happy to do more pics and condition reports etc).

Today's read is thoroughly enjoyable (home educators - this might be v much up your street - a lot of different topics and v interesting angles). So far we've had a day in the life of a Nazca condor; a camel on the Silk Road; and a sandstone bock which becomes part of Angkor Wat. It's pretty fab.

By the way "1939: The Last Season" by Anne De Courcey is an absolute delight.

Hee. I'm very fond of Redheads precisely for these very reasons. I mean, it's not a good book but I do like it with the same sort of fondness I have for the last few titles as a whole*.

*except that bit in Adrienne where Robin pops up because, outstanding.

(but best Reg tho, best Reg, I take it we're engaged? like that darling? NO I DO NOT).

(By before its time, I mean before fanfic, continuations and fill ins really kicked in online.)

(And I do get why it's such a Big Book and I respect other people's opinions about it - your reading is something I will always value and fight for! - but for me, there's something fascinating about it)

I do feel like I should revisit this review at some point (primarily because it was a long while ago) but this is it - didyoueverstoptothink.com/2013/08/08/c... - and I think much of what I said does still stand. It's a very well written book imo, published, I think, before its time. Plus best Reg.
