I say this because I got a souvenir hoodie on my own trip to Canada that had 67 on the back - over a decade ago!

people are constantly slinging insults and ill-will towards others with literally only, MAYBE once-every-couple-of-years votes to their names in terms of power, when the rot is far far higher up. And that bothers -me-

I feel like that's something at once taken for granted and really not well absorbed by people on here; our representatives (and their hires) are self-serving at best, revealed foul week after week, and that should bother us into doing something about it

If the Supreme Court’s argument is that the president has total immunity in doing stuff like this, then the next president has total immunity in claiming it is their presidential prerogative to hold Donald Trump upside down by his ankles and shake him until $600 million falls out.

so many ways in which we've desensitized ourselves to "hey, this dude is stealing and he doesn't care if you die." and that lack of sensitivity means we can't stand up for ourselves and others. we believe it practical to ignore the corruption or do it ourselves. it's cowardice, and it costs us

another way we've normalized corruption has to do with letting politicians in general not only lie, but scam us. the democrats peddling anything but abolish ICE have learned from trump. just say whatever, then do whatever. it would be nice to have the right to petition back--yes/no on the record
