If you often highlight the worst things you think of yourself, how do you expect others to perceive you? When you say those words out loud it can feel like hearing them from others. Even if no one else thinks that of you, you'll continue to believe it.

The kindest of us too often beat ourselves up over things that don't truly matter. It weakens us for the things that do matter. That's why there seems to be so many who don't care. The ones who care recoil and fade into the shadows from the wounds they inflect on themselves.

Perspective is an interesting thing. It can make the wise seem like fools and make fools seem intelligent. It's why seeing other points of view is so important. That doesn't mean you have to tolerate ignorance. Just check to make sure you're not the one who's being ignorant.

So many value entertainment and art yet don't value those who create it. I don't mean celebrities, since many of them get elevated far more than they should. Creatives who are behind the scenes get treated as if they're optional. While this has been brought up by many, not much has changed.
